Heat Exchanger Cleaners
During operation, it is natural for plate-fin and finned tube heat exchangers on offshore oil and gas platforms to quickly build up salt and other contaminants on their thermal elements, ducting and framework. These contaminants create an unwanted insulation layer on the heat exchanger, effectively reducing its thermal efficiency. Oil Spill Dispersant
For many people, the mention of oil spills immediately brings up images of catastrophic environmental disasters. However, well blowouts and sinking oil tankers are not the only situations that call for an effective and environmentally friendly Oil Spill Dispersant (OSD). As industry professionals know, a more common need is to deal with small but persistent oil weeps originating from offshore oil and gas platforms.
Even in areas where there has been no drilling or exploration, it is common for small amounts of oil to seep up into the sea from untapped oil reserves below the seabed. Fortunately the ocean has a microbiological system of breaking up the polluting oil known as bioremediation. The ideal oil spill dispersant will support this natural process in man-made scenarios, while having as little environmental impact as possible.
